This version of the ‘zigzag’ chair was often sold in the avant-garde warehouse ‘Metz&Co’ in Amsterdam and The Hague.
Most probably the chairs sold by Metz&Co were also made by Rietveld’s cabinetmaker Gerard van de Groenekan in his workshop in De Bilt.
He also made versions like this in commission for private persons.

With this chairs comes a condition- and authenticity rapport made by Rietveld restorer and specialist ‘Atelier Jurjen Creman’ form Amsterdam.

We sold one chair at the art fair PAN Amsterdam, the other one is sold in combination with five other ZigZag-chairs to a private collector in Japan in 2020.
