1926-1927 was a turbulant period for the artistic development of Lajos d ‘Ebneth.
It would result in a series of abstract geometric works which led to his international brake-through.

In those years his house, in Kijkduin near The Hague, was a meeting place for the European avant-garde.
Regular visitors were Kurt and Helma Schwitters, László and Lucia Moholy-Nagy, Siegfried Giedeon, Hannah Höch and from the Netherlands Til Brugman, Theo and Nelly van Doesburg, Gerrit Rietveld, Jan Buijs, J.J.P. Oud and Cornelis van Eesteren (Ex p. 36-44.)

His geometric abstract works were exhibited internationally and displayed in the avant-garde magazines ‘Der Sturm’ and ‘i10’.
