Very rare and important furniture-system that Gerrit Rietveld designed in 1930 for the avant-garde department store Metz&Co.

Ceramic decorative tiles designed, executed and signed by ‘De Stijl- artist’ Bart van der Leck, origin from the estate of Henk de Leeuw (director of the avant-garde department store Metz&Co) and the heirs of Bart van der Leck.
The tile with decor ‘Beehive’ is sold.

Small ceramic medallion made and signed by Bart van der Leck. Worn on a silver necklace by the artist’s granddaughter.

This copy was made by Gerard van de Groenekan for Truus Schröder during the period when Gerrit Rietveld and Truus Schröder lived together in the famous ‘Rietveld-Schröder House’ in Utrecht (1958-1964).

The scarf was private property of Bart van der Leck’s eldest daughter Eleonore Van der Leck-Schonk and the tie origins from the personal wardrobe of Henk de Leeuw, the director and owner of the avant-garde warehouse Metz&Co
